Research conducted by researchers at the Nestle Research Center in Lausanne, Switzerland, published in the Journal of Proteome Research indicates that with this kind of eating chocolate every day for two weeks can reduce stress hormones cortisol and catecholamines in those who have high levels of anxiety.

The researchers looked at the effects of eating 40 grams of dark chocolate every day for two weeks with urine and blood measurements in 30 healthy adults. 

Anxiety level of the participants have been determined since the beginning of the study, and blood and urine samples for later collected and analyzed at the beginning and end of the study for two weeks. The result is that daily dark chocolate consumption would lower the stress hormone levels in those with high levels of anxiety.
